A break in the steady snowfall is arriving now and will last until around 1pm this afternoon. Areas of light snow will then move back in with an additional inch or two of accumulation likely. The current forecast remains on track with most areas picking up 2 to 4 inches total.
Many roads remain snow-covered and slick, so leave extra time to reach your destination.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Lee and Whiteside County from midnight Sunday through midnight Monday.
A long duration snowfall event begins around late tonight lasting through much of Sunday. Total snowfall accumulations of two to four inches is likely across much of the area. Some localized higher amounts will be found near the Mississippi River.
IMPACTS: Roads will become snow-covered and slick by sunrise Sunday continuing through much of the day. Winds around 15 MPH will create some minor blowing/drifting snow in rural/open areas at times. At this time, minimal impacts are expected for the Monday morning commute.
