A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Lee and Whiteside Counties from 7pm this evening until 10am Friday morning.
A potent late-season winter storm will bring snow accumulations of 2-4 inches by Friday morning to much of the area with localized 5-6 amounts possible in spots.
Snow will begin near sunset this evening and then continue through the overnight hours. This will be the heavy, wet type of snow with some slushy accumulations on roads possible. Most accumulation will occur on grassy and elevated surfaces.
Thankfully most if not all of this snow will Melt by the weekend as temperatures rise well into the 50s.
