An area of high pressure combined with clear skies and gusty winds will create low wind chill values heading into the early morning hours of Monday. A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for Lee and Whiteside County until 9am.
Low temperatures will drop to between -8° and -10° Monday morning with wind chill values as low as -30°. This can lead to frostbite on exposed skin in less than 15 minutes. If you plan to be outdoors for an extended period of time. make sure and cover any exposed skin.
Temperatures will recover into the lower teens by Monday afternoon with wind chills in the single digits above zero.
