After temperatures near 80 degrees the last couple of days we’ll be in for quite a shock today. Widespread cloud cover along with a steady rain arriving late this morning will really hold our temperatures down as highs only top out around 60. A gusty northeast wind will keep things feeling rather chilly much of the day so grab the jacket along with the umbrella.
Here’s a snapshot of the high-resolution model which shows a widespread moderate to heavy area of rain overspreading the area by the late-afternoon hours. Some locations could pick up an inch or more before the rain ends late Tuesday evening.
With all of the clouds and rain likely to be in the area temperatures will stay in the 50s through much of the day. Quite the chilly turnaround!
