The warmer temperatures and very muggy conditions will persist as we begin the long holiday weekend with highs in near 90 and the heat index surpassing 95 degrees. There will be small chances for isolated thunderstorms during the day on Saturday and Sunday, but nothing that will be a total washout by any means if you have plans outdoors. Make sure and drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks in the shade.
Labor Day continues to be somewhat of a challenge as the timing of a frontal system and associated disturbance is still uncertain, either way plan for a decent shot at some rainfall especially during the day and during the overnight Monday with highs just a tad cooler, in the middle 80s.
After we get through the holiday temperatures return to fall-like levels with periodic chances for showers as we get through next week.
Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend.
