Warm Weekend Ahead…Rain Chances Too!

How about those bonus degrees we had on Tuesday? We made it into the lower 70s with all of that added sunshine we experienced.

We’ll continue the sunshine today and crack the 60 degree mark after being held in the 50s yesterday due to some cloud cover.  Winds will remain light today too making for pleasant conditions excellent for anything outdoors.

Tonight a few clouds will remain but overall pretty quiet with lows in the upper 30s.

This upcoming weekend is going to be another half/half weekend in terms of dry hours. Saturday is your best bet for anything outdoors as most of the shower activity will hold off until later in the day. Mild temperatures will continue with highs in the lower 60s.

Rain chances will be on the increase Saturday night and especially into Sunday when a widespread rainfall event looks possible. Still mild with temperatures in the 60s.

Early next week our temps will get another boost as an approaching storm system in the plains begins to organize itself. Right now there isn’t much consensus on what this storm system is going to do in terms of precipitation but warmer temperatures definitely look to be a result as we push well into the 60s for both Monday and Tuesday. If any rain does move through it will hold off until Tuesday.

Behind the system a return to more seasonal temperatures appears likely as temps fall back into the 40s and even some 30s possible by the end of next week. So make sure and get outside to enjoy the warmth between now and next Tuesday before it’s gone!

Have a great weekend!
