A beautiful stretch of weather is in the cards as we head into the upcoming holiday weekend as our dry and mild pattern looks to continue thanks to high pressure currently over the great lakes. This high pressure system will continue to to feed dry air into the region and cooler temperatures off of Lake Michigan which will make for comfortable days and nights with low humidity. This pattern will be locked into place through at least Sunday, before moisture from the south begins advancing northward into the area.
For today, we'll see sunshine along with a few clouds, highs in the middle 70s.
Friday will feature more sunshine and comfortable conditions, highs again in the middle to upper 70s.
The 4th is looking fantastic, with ample amounts of sunshine and low humidity levels. All plans outdoors are a GO! Highs nearing 80 degrees and lows at night in the 60s.
Moisture begins to return to the area late Sunday with our first chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday ahead of an approaching cold front.
Looking at the long range, no real signs of extreme heat thus far as that will remain well to the west of the area.
Have a great and safe holiday weekend!
