12:58AM 3/7/17 UPDATE – ALL WATCHES AND WARNINGS HAVE EXPIRED.
The National Weather Service has issued a TORNADO WATCH until 4AM for Whiteside county.
A powerful line of thunderstorms currently racing across eastern Iowa has had a history of producing winds up to 90 MPH and tornadoes. There remains some uncertainty as to how far east this line will maintain current strength, however the potential does exist for damaging winds and perhaps an isolated tornado or two to approach the area after 11pm tonight.
It is imperative that you have a way to receive warnings as these storms move in. They will be moving very quickly leaving very little time to react should a warning be issued for your area.
