The Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for the local are until 10pm this evening. Thunderstorms are expected to develop over the next several hours, some of which could be severe. The main threats with the storms this afternoon and evening will be large hail up to 2″ in diameter, damaging winds in excess of 70 MPH, a few tornadoes and very heavy rainfall.
Make sure you have a way to receive any warnings that may be issued over the next several hours.
