The “Muggy’s” Return Today…Active Pattern Setting Up

Not only will the temperatures be on the increase today but also the level of moisture in the air as well making it feel quite muggy by this afternoon as dew points head into the 60s.

Expect a few clouds around for this afternoon with just an outside chance of a shower or thunderstorm as we head towards the evening hours, otherwise remaining dry and warm with highs in the middle to upper 80s and a light westerly breeze.

Movies in the Park tonight at Grandon will feature a few clouds and warm conditions. Temperatures should be near 80 degrees around showtime at 8:30. Make sure and wear comfortable light-weight clothing and bring the bug spray!

An active pattern is shaping up for the end of the week as a stationary frontal boundary will lay out just to the south of the area providing near daily chances of showers and thunderstorms lasting through the beginning of next week. Each day won’t be a total washout with several dry hours in-between storm clusters. Some locally heavy rainfall appears possible as a tropical moisture source will be fed into this setup as well. Severe weather is also a possibility but will be better pinned down in terms of timing as we get closer to the individual events. Temperatures will remain above normal through the extended outlook.

Have a great Tuesday!
