Tad Cooler Today…Warming Up This Weekend

More sunshine can be expected for today as the storm system that brought yesterday’s increased clouds and even a few showers continues to depart off to the east. In it’s wake cooler temperatures will be found across the area compared to yesterday, but still not bad! Expect afternoon highs in the middle 60s.

Friday we’ll be a bit warmer with continued sunshine despite a few afternoon clouds, we’ll see highs nearing 70 degrees.

The upcoming weekend isn’t looking too bad at the moment. Saturday is my pick of the two days for any outdoor activities as rain chances will be on the increase starting Saturday night and through much of next week as a stalled out frontal boundary sits across the area. This boundary will focus daily chances of showers and thunderstorms with even some locally heavy rainfall possible. It won’t be raining through the entire period but there will be a few hours each day that will feature periods of showers and storms. Temperatures will remain mild with upper 60s to middle 70s likely.

We’ll highlight the rain potential over the weekend when more information becomes available regarding the timing and intensity. Until then have a great Thursday!
