Sure was nice to see some sunshine in our skies yesterday morning after suffering through quite a dreary weekend. We nearly picked up close to an inch and a half of rainfall from that system. April overall ended up a little short in terms of the average precipitation we see for the month with the total coming in around 3.16 inches. Now that the sun has returned things will really start to grow around here so keep the lawn mower handy!
Skies will remain partly sunny today and as a result our temperatures will warm even further then yesterday with readings climbing into the upper 60s.
Tonight a cold front will be approaching the area from the north. There may be enough moisture and forcing ahead of this feature to squeeze out a quick line of showers and embedded thunderstorms, mainly after 9pm. Nothing too major though as the precipitation will be quickly moving through the area. Temperatures in the middle 40s can be expected.
Wednesday will feature more clouds behind this frontal boundary and brisk conditions with highs only in the 50s and a gusty northwest wind around 25 MPH.
The second half of the week is looking fantastic with full sunshine back in the picture by Thursday continuing into Friday and highs back into the 70s. Woohoo!.
Have a great Tuesday!
