Still Watching Potent Storm for Sunday/Monday

We continue to monitor the potential for a significant winter storm in the late Sunday Night/much of Monday timeframe. While you’ve likely seen the maps predicting doomsday snowfall in the order of feet, we continue to monitor the trends and await increased confidence before pulling the trigger on any preliminary snowfall forecasts for the area.

What is known: A significant winter storm is likely in the region late Sunday night into much of Monday. Another arctic blast with low wind chills is also likely behind this system for much of next week.

What is unknown: The exact storm track, which will be critical to whether we see a mix of rain/sleet/snow, or all snow, as well as where that heaviest snow will begin to lay out.

What you should do: Keep checking in with us throughout this weekend for further updates, especially if you will be doing any traveling in the region during this timeframe. Significant impacts are likely.
