We just went through an absolutely spectacular weekend across the Sauk Valley as temperatures soared to values far above average for this time of year. We hit 70 on Saturday and 69 on Sunday. Our average highs for this time of year are in the middle 50s.
We’ve got a changing weather pattern ahead, but we’ll have one more nice warm day for Monday as sunny skies continue and highs soar into the middle 60s.
Increasing clouds likely as we head into Monday evening as a cold front approaches us from the west. This cold front could set off a few showers first thing Election Day morning, otherwise we’ll just see plenty of clouds with a few peaks of sunshine possible late Tuesday. It will be breezy as well Tuesday afternoon behind the front.
Behind the front we go briefly cooler and then await another front to arrive for the second half of the week that will knock temperatures down closer to normal. The pattern still looks relatively mild and dry the next 7 days.
Have a great Monday!
