Still Cool Today…Sunshine Continues Friday

What a dramatic drop in the temperatures yesterday as we were under the influence of a mature area of low pressure just to the north of the area that kept us in the clouds and even a few light showers from time to time. We actually experienced our high for the day quite early, 70 degrees around 5am and then temperatures slowly fell into the 60s throughout the day.

We’ll still be cool today but not as cool as yesterday since the sunshine will be returning. Winds will still be quite strong though with gusts around 20-25 mph. Expect highs around 74 degrees.

Temperatures will continue to gradually warm as we head into Friday and Saturday, surpassing the 80 degree mark both days. The humidity will remain in check though with comfortable conditions continuing,

We’ll remain dry until late Saturday night and during the day on Sunday when our next weather system will move through bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms. After the system passes temperatures will cool down again for the beginning of next week, but don’t be fooled as we are not quite done with the heat and humidity yet as a comeback could arrive about a week from now.

Until then, have a great Thursday and weekend!
