The Storm Prediction Center has included our area in a chance of some scattered severe thunderstorms for later this afternoon. Moderate to heavy rain at times will continue through this morning into the early afternoon before we see a break in the precipitation. By late afternoon and early evening a cold front will be approaching from the west and this feature could set off some scattered areas of strong thunderstorms will the main threat being damaging wind. An isolated tornado is also possible depending on how conditions setup this afternoon. We’ll pass along any watches/warnings should they be issued by the NWS.
