Showers with Windy Conditions Today…Sunshine Returns Sunday

While we didn’t get much in the way of showers and thunderstorms yesterday, today will be a different story as a cold front finally moves through the area. Originally the timing brought the front through the area during the evening on Friday, but it has since slowed it’s progression eastward so we’ll have to hang onto cloudy conditions along with occasional periods of rain for today. The front will be far enough east of the area that we can end the rain chances by evening, but temperatures will be falling quickly into the 50s by the time we reach the afternoon hours. Winds will also be on the increase as well with gusts to 30 mph possible.

Sunday is looking MUCH better in terms of increased sunshine, however much cooler temperatures are on tap has highs will remain below average only reaching the middle 60s. The winds will remain strong too with gusts near 20 mph possible earlier in the day.

Next week is looking fairly quiet, with plenty of sunshine and warming temperatures as we’ll be back in the 80s by weeks end and that also happens to be our next chance for precipitation. All-in all not bad for this time of year!

Have a great weekend!
