Numerous showers and storms Thursday evening have pushed a stationary boundary to the south of us, which will mean much cooler conditions today.
A complex of strong thunderstorms to our west will continue to move southeast, keeping the strongest activity out of our area. Clouds along with rain and a few rumbles of thunder will arrive later this morning into the afternoon.
While a marginal risk for severe storms remains in place, it appears the threat for any severe weather today will be fairly isolated.
We won’t be shaking this active pattern anytime soon as several chances of showers and storms remain in the forecast. The best chance for widespread strong to severe storms will remain tied to Sunday and then again on Tuesday. Temperatures are likely to fluctuate depending on where this stationary boundary lies. Needless to say, it’s going to be an active end to the month of May.
