Shower & Thunderstorm Chances Return

Several clusters of showers and thunderstorms to our west will provide an increase in the cloud cover for today though a few peaks of sunshine will be possible as we head into the afternoon hours. A weak disturbance will be moving through the area that may provide an opportunity for an isolated shower and thunderstorm later this afternoon and especially this evening, otherwise we’ll remain dry with highs in the lower 80s.

Tonight another large thunderstorm complex should develop out to our west and then progress eastward, though it may just graze our area by Friday morning. With the shower and thunderstorm activity around the area temperatures won’t be as warm as they have been over the past several days, with highs only in the middle 70s.

Saturday is looking dry right now as we will have a brief encounter with high pressure, temperatures will be seasonal, in the upper 70s.

Sunday is looking quite active at this time with showers and thunderstorms likely developing at the end of the day as a cold front approaches our area. Some stronger storms appear possible right now. Highs will be near 80 or better. We’ll pass along any new information concerning strong storm chances over the later half of the weekend.

Have a great day!
