The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm WATCH for the entire area until midnight Friday.
Timing: 9PM through early Friday morning
Hazards:
Damaging Wind: Moderate
Large Hail: Moderate
Tornadoes: Low
Heavy Rain: High
A complex of severe thunderstorms across southern Wisconsin will continue to move to the southeast with new development possible on the westward portion of this line. These storms have already had a history of producing widespread wind damage across central portions of the state. Storms that develop to the west may impact the area later this evening.
The largest threat will remain damaging winds in excess of 60 MPH. Isolated areas of large hail are also possible. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out with any storms that interact with boundaries across the area. Plenty of moisture is currently across the area so storms will also produce very heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding in some areas.
If you are placed under a warning seek shelter immediately in a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
