Scattered Shower/Storm Today…Nice Sunday!

The back edge of the cloud cover is quickly approaching with sunshine expected by the noon hour. Some scattered showers and maybe an isolated thunderstorm remain possible for the afternoon and evening hours but no severe weather is anticipated as the stronger forcing and dynamics have shifted well east of the area. Highs today will make it into the lower 80s.

Sunday is looking quite nice with cloud cover early giving way to a few peaks of sunshine later in the afternoon. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the upper 70s expected.

Heat will continue to build in the Western US early next week and then slowly translate eastward meaning we could be seeing summers first “heat wave” by late next week and especially next weekend. Very uncomfortable moisture levels look to return along with the heat as well. You’ve been forewarned!
