Refreshing Today…Heat/Humidity Arrives Late-Week

If you don’t like the heat and humidity this forecast is not for you, well, at least the latter part.

Today though we won’t be focused on heat at all rather some refreshing temperatures thanks to a cold front slipping through the area. A nice northwest breeze will hold temperatures down to the lower to middle 70s for this afternoon even with an abundance of sunshine. Still though a very nice day for June.

Natural A/C will take over tonight with clear skies temperatures will easily fall into the lower 50s. Nice night to open the windows!

Wednesday will be warmer with continued sunshine and highs reaching for 80.

Thursday is when we turn our attention to the first heat wave of the summer as temperatures soar to 90 or above along with increasing humidity levels as a warm front passes through the area. Thunderstorms will be possible as the front approaches beginning Wednesday night lasting into much of  Thursday. Right now too early to tell if strong storms are possible but we will  monitor closely. Storm chances will remain in the area on a scattered basis for Friday as we may see periodic storm complexes move through. Highs will continue to build into the 90s through the weekend with dry weather expected Saturday and more storm chances arriving as we close the upcoming weekend. The heat looks to take a minor break early next week but may return quickly after that.

Have a great Tuesday.
