Yesterday will be our coolest day in the next week as our pattern sets to turn unusually warm. Highs today will reach well into the 40s with gusty winds by this afternoon. Expect plenty of sunshine in the morning and a mix of more clouds for the afternoon.
It truly continues to be an usual winter as we once again latch on to a warmer pattern. Several record high temperatures are likely to be set over the next four days alone. The warmth spreads all over the upper Midwest and much of the nation for that fact too! Sunday and Monday of next week hold the highest potential for temperatures reaching well into the 60s. Extremely rare for February when our normal highs are still in the lower to middle 30s.
Looking into the extended forecast we will remain on the quiet and warm side of things with only one decent shot at some rain late Monday into Tuesday. Otherwise record warmth takes hold and temperatures only fall a few degrees about a week from today. Amazing! Start making those outdoor plans NOW while the warmth is here!
