Rain to Snow Showers…Turning Colder

Temperatures are set to take a dive compared to our several 60 degree days we recently experienced. This warm stretch broke many records and even set records for the warmest temperature ever to be recorded in the month of February. VERY impressive stuff!. Here’s a look back at the many above average temperature swings we’ve seen so far this month.

Today we go closer to reality with areas of showers this morning giving way to mainly cloudy and windy conditions this afternoon. Highs will be much cooler, in the middle 40s. Snow showers are possible this evening with light accumulations possible. Mainly less than an inch is expected as snow showers continue this evening.

Saturday will feature colder temperatures as highs are sent below normal for a change in the lower 30s.

Warmer air will quickly begin to return to the area as early as Sunday and then continue expanding into early next week. Our next weather disturbance arrives Tuesday with rain showers appearing likely as temperatures head for the upper 50s.
