Rain Later Today…Cooler Wednesday

A beautiful late-summer day with above average high temperatures across the area yesterday with most locations hitting 80 degrees. In typical late-summer fashion though our temperatures will be on a roller coaster over the next several days as we get cold fronts to pass through occasionally.

The first front will arrive later today bringing with it chances for scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two. Most of this will arrive during the evening hours however an isolated shower or storm can’t be totally ruled out at any time during the afternoon hours. Not expecting any severe weather or heavy rain with this activity as the extreme moisture will be locked to the south. Highs today will be warm again nearing 80 degrees.

Tonight we’ll end showers and storms after midnight and then clear skies out. Lows will be mild in the lower 60s.

Wednesday looks beautiful with sunshine returning and cooler temperatures. Highs should manage to reach the lower 70s.

Next chance for rain arrives Friday and it could be a fairly widespread soaking rain by all indications. We’ll definitely want to keep tabs on this for Friday Night football!

Have a great Tuesday!
