Rain Chances Increasing

Some much needed rain is on the way as we are now over an inch short for where we should be this time of month. So far we’ve only seen about 0.59″ of precipitation when we should be near an inch and a half.

Taking a look at the satellite and radar this morning we’ve got plenty of clouds across the region with radar picking up a few light showers. Most of these are likely not reaching the ground. Later today though forcing will begin to increase as an area of low pressure in the plains organizes. Light rain is likely to break out later this evening and become more widespread overnight when a few thunderstorms will be possible.

Temperatures will be varying quite a bit as we finish out the rest of the week. We’ll continue 50s for a few days but then another surge of 70s appears likely by weeks end.
