Rain Chances Increasing…Warmer

Lot’s of clouds will be found around the area today as an expansive area of light rain looms off to the west. While most of our Thursday will remain dry, by the time this evening rolls around chances for showers and even a few rumbles of thunder will become likely. Highs today will be slightly cooler than yesterday with all the cloud cover around, topping out in the middle 60s.

Tonight showers and thunderstorms appear likely.

Friday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and MUCH WARMER! Highs will be near 80 degrees with a gusty south breeze.

The upcoming weekend will still feature chances for showers and storms, though the entire period won’t be completely wet as there will be several dry periods in-between the rain chances. Temperatures will remain quite warm though, topping out near 80 each day.

As we approach Sunday a cold front will be moving into the area with a slight risk of severe weather possible. We’ll monitor this threat over the next couple of days.

If you are heading out to the Rock Falls Farmers Market or Spring Garage Sale Days this weekend, make sure and take the umbrella and wear lightweight comfortable clothing as it will be warm but muggy!
