The National Weather Service has concluded that an EF-1 (Weak) tornado touched down near Coleta (2.7 miles to the ESE of Coleta) with estimated peak winds of 100 MPH. Damage included snapped pine trees, damage to farm outbuildings, and an un-roofed attached garage and part of a house. A second house also sustained damage to its roof.
