Nice Looking Weekend Ahead

We managed to escape our severe threat yesterday thanks in part to all of the cloud cover that stuck around during the afternoon hours. Now that the cold front has moved through expect much more comfortable conditions for this afternoon with plenty of sunshine and a stiff northwest breeze. Highs in the middle 80s are likely. These same conditions will continue on into our weekend with more sunshine and comfortable humidity levels settling in. Enjoy!

Here’s a look at some of the impressive rainfall totals from the storms that moved through very early Wednesday morning. Many locations picked up well over 2 inches in just under a couple of hours.

Yesterday’s severe threat didn’t pan out as expected due to a couple factors including lack of sunshine during the afternoon hours and the ill timing of the approaching cold front. So thankfully we didn’t have to deal with any rough weather this time.

Now that the front has passed quiet conditions will be settling in through the upcoming weekend with much more comfortable humidity levels too. The winds will be gusty by this afternoon with speeds around 20 MPH likely, so hang onto your hats! Temperatures will remain in the lower 80s for the upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine continuing so make sure and arrange that outdoor BBQ!

Our next rain chance will not arrive until early next week around Tuesday as the heat and humidity rebuilds into the area with highs soaring back up to 90 degrees.
