Needed Rain Arrives Today…Unpleasant End to the Week

The sun will continue its vacation again today as our next storm system arrives from the southwest. The rain looks to hold off until the late afternoon hours with scattered showers arriving by the early evening hours. Highs today will remain in the lower 50s with gusty winds increasing by the evening hours.

More heavier showers and even some thunderstorms will likely arrive during the day Thursday and into Thursday night. At this time not seeing any severe weather potential, but a few of the storms Thursday evening could contain some small hail.

All of this rainfall is still needed as we are well over an inch in the hole for the month of March. Some of us will come close to filling this gap by the time the rain shuts off late Thursday night.

Winds will again shift to the east and remain brisk pulling in more colder air from Lake Michigan not only Thursday but Friday as well which will make for a rather unpleasant end to the work-week. However, the upcoming weekend looks much warmer and some dry hours are on the board!
