Morning Fog…Warming Thursday

Fog continues to wreak havoc on our daytime temperatures as we logged another day in the middle 30s when realistically we could have been enjoying the 40s! Fog will continue to be part of our story through the morning hours with most of it on the way out this afternoon as high pressure continues to move off to the east of the area. With this in mind we’ll shoot a little higher for temperatures this afternoon expecting to top out in the middle to upper 40s just like the folks to the west experienced yesterday per the visible satellite and temperature map below.

Wednesday continues the warming trend with sunshine making a return and a south breeze kicking in we will finally inch closer to the 50 degree mark without all of the fog to deal with unlike mornings past.

By Thursday an area of low pressure will be moving through parts of northern Wisconsin and ahead of this feature south winds will really get a boost with windy conditions developing by afternoon. This will allow our highs to reach the middle 50s and I wouldn’t even be surprised to see a 60 degree reading not too far from the area. Dry conditions can be expected though with this feature as the forcing remains to the north of the area. Just some clouds are expected at this time.

One system we are watching will arrive for the first part of this upcoming weekend and it could put down another soaking rain. Afterward it’s back to reality with temperatures as we fall back into the 30s to finish out the weekend. We’ll have more details on this Friday.
