More Showers and Storms Today…Pattern Sticks Around

Rain already entering the picture for our forecast today (so much for it being dry!) as scattered showers and storms this morning will give way to a brief break early this afternoon before more scattered activity develops later on. Highs today will be much warmer compared to yesterday, as we should hit close to 80.

Showers and storms will be more widespread for the overnight hours as a warm front approaches the area form the south. This will keep our highs warm on Sunday but you’ll notice an increase in humidity levels again. This may lead to some stronger storms later Sunday afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center currently has us under a slight risk of severe storms during this time period.

Unfortunately this pattern isn’t changing anytime soon, as rain chances will be with us through the upcoming week with off and on clusters of showers and storms. Heavy rainfall and bouts of stronger storms will continue to be possible through this period.
