January Warmth Continues

Our remarkable warm stretch in the second half of January continues today as highs reach back into the 40s. The only downside this time of year is the warmth usually comes at the cost of not seeing much in the way of sunshine. We continue to run well below normal in the amount of possible sunshine that we can typically expect to see in January. The pattern continues to yield many cloudy days ahead as a fast moving weather pattern does not allow for areas of high pressure to hang around long enough to effectively clear out the clouds.

A more winter-like storm system will bring areas of accumulating snow just to our north by later tomorrow however we’ll remain on the warm side of this system so mainly expecting rain at this time. -Andrew
