We’ve got plenty of weather to talk about over the next 24 hours as a frontal system coupled with an area of low pressure moving up over the area from the south will bring heavy rainfall beginning early Sunday morning and then again Sunday evening.
However reviewing todays statistics in terms of temperatures is rather impressive. Out at the airport our observed high was 63 which is close to almost 30 degrees above average! Really makes it hard to believe that Christmas is now less than two weeks away!
Lot’s of moisture is present ahead of this storm system so don’t be surprised to see total rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches with isolated spots of 2″+ possible. Some thunderstorms are likely with the heavier bands of rain. Temperatures will remain mild through the day as we will remain in the warm sector with highs around 60 or better.
We’ll have one final band of heavy rain Sunday evening before things lighten up a bit towards Monday morning and we start the new work week. Temperatures will remain mild through Wednesday before we go back to reality to end the week.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
