Our air mass today will begin to feel a bit more humid as temperatures begin to warm into the upper 80s this afternoon under a partly sunny sky. Heat index readings will likely stay in the lower 90s. That won’t be the case by Wednesday of this week when the combination of heat and humidity will likely push heat index readings over 100 degrees.
Still watching the potential for a cluster of thunderstorms to arrive here very early Monday morning. These will …initially develop over southern Minnesota and then race southeastward this evening and overnight. Main threats will be damaging winds and some hail along with heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Most of this activity arrives after 1am.
