Goodbye Heat & Humidity…For Now

We’re saying goodbye (temporarily) to the oppressive heat and humidity that has plagued the area for weeks and welcoming in a refreshingly cooler and less humid air mass. This cool and quieter pattern will hang on for much of the extended outlook with only a couple chances for precipitation.

Today will be the coolest afternoon we have seen in quite sometime. You have to go all the way back to June 7th to find the last time we had highs in the 70s. It has been awhile! Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 80s under plenty of sunshine.

Even cooler readings will be found across the area tonight with clear skies present lows will easily dip into the lower to middle 50s. That’s free air conditioning!

The cooler temperatures continue into the extended outlook with only one decent chance for rain by Thursday as a frontal system approaches the area. Scattered showers and storms are possible during this time period but no severe weather is expected. After the front moves through a gorgeous holiday weekend lies ahead with continued sunshine and highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Have a great Tuesday!
