Flash Flood WATCH for Whiteside county
Flood WATCH for Lee county
both through Wednesday night.
Very high moisture levels streaming up from the Gulf and remnants of Hurricane Newton will reside over the area through tonight allowing for heavy rain producing thunderstorms to develop over the area. Places that see repeated thunderstorm activity through tonight could potentially see up to 4 inches or more of rainfall causing flooding hazards.
Remember, never cross a flooded road no matter how shallow the water may appear to be.
