We had a bit of a rough start to the morning commute yesterday as some light snow fell across the area leading to just enough accumulation to mess up a few area roads leading to a few slick spots. A reminder you can now tweet your area road conditions to us for those of you on Twitter just use #svroadcon
This morning will be much less eventful as the bulk of the snowfall will remain off to the east however a few areas of flurries will be possible from time to time. Now that the front has moved through the area much colder conditions will be found with highs only in the middle teens. Winds will continue to be gusty as well keeping wind chills down in the single digits.
Tonight temperatures crash further as any leftover flurries move out by early evening. Overnight lows will be around 5 above with wind chills below zero.
Wednesday isn’t looking any warmer even though the sunshine returns. We’ll still have gusty winds and highs in the middle teens with wind chills below zero for much of the day.
Precipitation-wise the rest of the week up until Friday looks fairly quiet with our next chance for light snow not arriving until Friday as a clipper system passes through. Behind this system temperatures will crash again Saturday with highs in the lower teens likely.
If you are in search in warmth you’ll have to wait until early next week unfortunately.
Have a great Tuesday!
