Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully we all enjoyed our week. We had quite the summer week across the Sauk Valley. Monday stole the highest temperature for the week with an 89, while Wednesday kept cool due to morning, and late morning showers and thunderstorms. Today we have a chance for isolated and scattered showers, and possibly a thunderstorm through much of the day. While the main activity remains in the morning hours, a pop-up shower can’t be ruled out for the evening.
Highs today expected around 82 with that chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm as mentioned. Otherwise mostly cloudy conditions will stick around through the day.
Tonight is Rock Falls Homecoming football game. Kickoff starts at 7:15PM with cooling temperatures as we advance time forward. By 9PM temperatures will fall under 70 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. Tonight’s lows expected around 64 degrees with mostly cloudy skies.
Finally, Fall is in our sight! Once we get through Saturday, a cold front will begin to move through on Sunday giving us a chance for showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Monday will start out much cooler compared to the last few days, and fall-like temperatures appear to stick around for much of next week with a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
