The Storm Prediction Center has included our area in an Enhanced Risk for severe storms beginning late this evening, overnight, and through Monday.
A cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to develop to the northwest of the area later this afternoon and evening. This cluster is then expected to consolidate into a line and move southeastward towards the local area through the overnight tonight and early morning hours of Monday. Strong damaging winds and very heavy rainfall are likely if this line can maintain it’s severity into the area. We’ll pass along any watches or warnings as they are issued from the NWS. Make sure you have a way to receive these watches and warnings especially if you will be outdoors.
