Drier and Cooler Today…Rain Chances To Return

Another bout of heavy rainfall impacted the Sauk Valley area ahead of a cold front that cleared the area early this morning. Most locations in the immediate area picked up between one to two inches with spots around the QC picking up nearly 4 inches of rainfall. Thankfully today we’ll have a chance to dry out as the front settles well to the south of the area giving us an easterly breeze and lower humidity. Highs today will be in the middle 70s.

The dry spell will be short lived however as the frontal boundary to the south begins to move northward again bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms to the area by the time we reach Wednesday, with cooler readings in the lower 70s.
