Scattered showers and storms will remain possible as we head through the rest of the day today but the heavy rainfall threat appears to be decreasing.
Here is a look at the Doppler estimated rainfall as of 10:30 this morning. Many locations have received over 2 inches and some over 3 inches of rain since last night.
The cold front responsible for the thunderstorms will be moving through this evening and that will end the rain chances and begin to clear out the clouds by late tonight. Temperatures will be mild again this afternoon with lower 80s likely. Tonight cooler conditions with drier air filtering in from the north. Lows in the middle 60s.
This upcoming weekend looks absolutely beautiful as sunshine returns and the heat and humidity gets scoured back to the south. Highs will be in the lower 80s both Saturday and Sunday with dry conditions. Make sure and plan some part of your weekend outside!
Rain chances return by Monday and Tuesday but look pretty scattered right now. Temperatures remain seasonal throughout the extended outlook into late next week.
Have a great weekend!
