Lots of rumbling going on yesterday morning as we saw several rounds of showers and thunderstorms, some of which put down some brief periods of heavy rain and small hail.
We’ll still have some chances for scattered showers and storms today but like yesterday not expecting anything in terms of severe weather. A few showers will be around this morning before we see a brief break with even a few peaks of sunshine possible at times. As another disturbance approaches the area this afternoon a few more showers and thunderstorms are possible before ending by sunset. Highs today will be much cooler than yesterday, only in the upper 40s with windy conditions.
Any leftover showers this evening will quickly move out leaving behind just a few clouds and overnight lows that will be near 30. Gusty winds will continue as well putting an extra chill factor in the air.
Our weekend ahead is another half and half with Sunday being my pick day for anything outdoors so plan your schedule accordingly!
Saturday our temperatures will continue to be on the cool side with strong winds continuing. Skies will be partly sunny with highs in the middle 40s and winds gusting over 40 MPH at times.
Sunday will be much better not only in terms of temperature but wind as well even though we will see an increase in clouds. Temperatures will manage to regain a ton of ground surging back near 60 degrees as southerly winds increase ahead of an area of low pressure. Shower chances at this time look pretty slim for the late afternoon hours but can’t rule them out completely. Still a VERY nice day though.
Next week temperatures are literally all over the place as an active pattern remains anchored across the area with several disturbances moving through. Many ups and downs with this pattern but only a few solid opportunities for precipitation.
Have a great weekend!
