Cloudy…Periods of Rain/T-Storms

Quite a cloudy and dreary morning across the Sauk Valley with the latest radar image showing a few areas of spotty drizzle.

The clouds and drizzle will stick around for much of the morning with perhaps a brief lul early this afternoon before some scattered showers and thunderstorms develop and move through the area. Highs today will be seasonal, in the lower to middle 50s.

Tonight scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue around the area, with lows in the middle 40s.

Wednesday will feature a better chance of showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be severe.

Our first threat of severe weather for the season begins on Wednesday and ramps up on Thursday. Definitely stay tuned to later updates regarding this threat as things could get quite busy around the local area during these time frames. We’ll have more details Wednesday morning and especially during the next broadcast on Thursday morning.

Until then, have a great Tuesday!
