Clouds Settling In

It may be spring, but it sure hasn’t felt like spring lately. Clouds will be settling in for the majority of the day today, along with some areas of fog across the Sauk Valley region. A few breaks in the clouds later this afternoon may be seen, but overall, expect cloudy conditions.

Temperatures today will be in the mid 40s for most of us that are away from the snow pack that still remains on the ground. Those closer too and within the snow pack area will see surface temperatures much cooler, likely in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Winds today will remain out of the northwest around 7MPH allowing for a crisp wind. Tonight clouds will begin to slowly decrease with temperatures near 30 degrees.

A look at our extended forecast this week:
More sunshine expected on Wednesday along with temperatures around 50 degrees. We’ll stay dry Wednesday & Thursday, but Friday may bring a chance for more precipitation as well as the weekend ahead.
