Bitter Cold Moving Out

Who’s tired of the bitter cold temperatures? Thankfully they are on the way out as the arctic high pressure system responsible for them marches eastward taking the colder air with it. Slowly moderating temperatures can be expected as we move through the week.

Today we’re already seeing a little improvement as highs will reach the middle to upper teens though we won’t see as much sunshine as we did yesterday. By late afternoon clouds will be on the increase ahead of a weak area of low pressure that will bring some flurries overnight. Not expecting any major accumulation, perhaps a dusting at best. The snow will be completely done before sunrise Wednesday so no major impacts are expected.

Speaking of Wednesday, warming continues with mostly cloudy skies and highs back in the 20s! No other significant weather is likely as we close out the week and continue warming temperatures heading into the weekend.
