Another Cool Weekend Ahead

Some areas received some beneficial rains with the thunderstorms that moved through late yesterday afternoon. The heaviest rains moved through southern parts of Whiteside county and into southwestern Lee county where of an inch has been estimated by Doppler radar.

If you didn’t get the rain yesterday it will be quite a while yet before we see our next chance for precipitation. Another strong area of high pressure will be settling into the region this weekend providing another comfortable forecast. Even today highs are very comfortable with low humidity.

This pattern keeps our weather quiet overall with no real chances for rain until we reach the middle of next week. The rain chances will come with increasing temperatures and levels of humidity as well. Until then, a nice late-summer pattern continues!
