Quite the contrast in terms of temperatures and humidity levels yesterday compared to the day before as a cold front swept through the region late Tuesday taking all of the heat and humidity with it. The comfortable conditions will continue today as we will see plenty of sunshine and a nice breeze. Temperatures will reach the middle 80s.
A warming trend will commence for Friday, as temperatures will reach for the middle to upper 80s with a little bit of humidity sneaking back into the picture. Later during the day and evening hours a weak cool front will approach the area that may set off a brief shower or thunderstorm, but currently nothing too widespread is expected and in fact most of the precipitation may stay to the south of the area all together.
After the frontal passage Saturday is looking spectacular with plenty of sunshine and cooler temperatures as highs will be in the lower to middle 80s. Perfect conditions if you are heading to any outdoor event, including the local Farmer’s Market or Touch a Truck in downtown Rock Falls.
The heat and humidity returns by the time we get ready to close the weekend, and showers and thunderstorms are looking likely for Sunday as we enter a more active pattern for the new work week.
Have a great Thursday and weekend!
