In the famous words of Harry Caray, HOLY COW! The Cubs are on their way to Game 7 of the world series, and we have highs in the middle 70s in NOVEMBER! WOW! Could the news get any better? WHY YES! I’m glad you asked. Above average temperatures continue all through the extended outlook. First though, showers and storms rule our Wednesday with a few heavy downpours, but we quickly dry out and turn pleasant by Thursday with another winning weekend ahead. Have a great Wednesday! – Andrew
Some amazing warmth still has grips on the Sauk Valley even into the first couple of days into November. Yesterday our highs made it into the middle 70s! Unreal!
October was definitely a warm month. Here is a look at the high temperatures we observed each day compared to normal. Temperature scale on the left, and date on the bottom. Most of the month was spent well above average with just a few days below average.
It appears we can copy the same above scenario and apply it to early November as our temperatures still will be on the warm side through much of next week.
Today, showers and thunderstorms are likely in waves. Could pick up a half-inch to up to an inch of rainfall once this storm system is all said and done. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s.
The rain ends by around midnight or so tonight with skies becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 40s.
Thursday is looking very pleasant with sunny skies and highs in the lower 60s. Plenty of sun continues right on into the upcoming weekend with highs remaining in the 60s.
