AM Showers Today; Cooler Friday

Liquid gold is finally falling from the sky, and not the Mac N Cheese kind either! 🙂

While one rain band has already moved through the area this morning, the latest radar image shows a secondary lighter band may move through later this morning providing perhaps another five hundredths of an inch of precipitation. Some is certainly better than none around these parts!

Showers will continue to dot the landscape through the morning hours ahead of an approaching cold front. We should see a few breaks in the cloud cover for later this afternoon allowing for a little bit of sunshine which will help boost temperatures into the middle 60s for highs today.

For tonight, a few clouds will be around from time to time, but dry conditions will persist with lows in the upper 30s.

Friday will feature much cooler temperatures as a storm system slides to the south of the area providing winds out of the north and plenty of cloud cover. A few showers are also possible in the morning hours, but nothing heavy. Highs will struggle to reach the upper 40s with brisk winds.

The weekend is looking great so far, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Perfect for any outdoor plans, other than swimming of course!

Have a great Thursday!
